About Us
For most of us, this is an age of turmoil: down economy, families in upheaval, nature in trouble, our leaders untrustworthy. One could easily succumb and join the downtrend. Yet most don't. They walk against the falling avalanche using their will and character as their shields. They disagree and say, "my circumstances don't determine me, I determine my circumstances. I can overcome and I can win." Whether it's Lance Armstrong at the Tour de France, Tiger at the US Open, the guy who runs into the burning building to save his family, the man who falls on the subway tracks to save a stranger or the person who conquers his body and gets in shape, the nobility of the human spirit is everywhere.
Our backgrounds are health care and athletics and we see the stories every day. At first we delighted in sharing these stories only among ourselves.
The emails with videos and pictures and written communication surged among us daily, cataloging athletes, artists, kids; and with each our appreciation for the human spirit and its ability to overcome grew into a bonfire of excitement. Then it dawned on us that we needed to open up our little group and share these with others so they could enjoy them and participate too.
Thus, EpicFeats was born.
Come join us and contribute your stories. Life can be tough, and people need a hand or a good laugh, or a way to pull themselves out of the slumps.
Seeing another do it gives one the faith that he can too. We think that nothing is more humane than this. Life is a game that one can win - if he has the inspiration to decide to get up again after being knocked down.
